The Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) is a scheme created by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) to minimise tax evasion within the construction industry. All contractors have to be registered with HMRC for CIS.
It's the Contract that you are on with the agency that will determine if you can be paid CIS. The agency need to ascertain your status with the end hirer by sending them a questionnaire. If the agency is happy with that determination, they will confirm with us directly that you can be paid CIS.
